The 2021 BDA ‐ Franchise Finance Australia ‐ Australian Franchise Conference scheduled for Wednesday 23 June has been postponed to Tuesday 17 May 2022 due to concerns around the impact of the Coronavirus.
BDA Director Mark Fernandez said, “It is with great regret that I have had to postpone this year’s Australian Franchise Conference until May 2022.”
While in discussion with a number of Keynote Speakers and sponsors over the past 24 hours, there have been many concerns over the ability to deliver a quality and engaging event under the current issues with COVID‐19. With almost one third of the speakers and presenters travelling from the east coast to share insights with the Australian Franchise Industry, there remains a strong possibility that BDA will not be in a position to bring them over and they are certainly not replaceable. The impact of the Coronavirus is deepening across all business sectors. It is for this reason that I have decided today to postpone this year’s event and return next year.”
Mark continues to say, “I would like to thank our Event Sponsor, James Scurr and Dan Toms, Directors of Franchise Finance Australia, our sponsors and all of our business partners that would have made this event a success, and for their understanding at this unprecedented time of uncertainty. All ticket holders will be offered a full refund.”
