On 14 March 2019 the Parliamentary Committee handed down its findings on its inquiry into the Australian Franchising Code of Conduct. The committee has called for a number of changes – 71 recommendations in all.
With so many recommendations, franchisees, franchisors, employees, suppliers and business owners, are now wondering, “how does this affect me?”
To help demystify the committee’s recommendations and bring some clarity to the 300+ page report, I invited franchising lawyer, Joe Lazzara, Principal at LSV Borrello Lawyers, to share his insights on the recommendations and their likely impact on the franchising community.
